In 2016, I was in one of the most depressing seasons of my life.
I was struggling with IBS — constant bloating, abdominal pain, cramping, fatigue — and alongside it came anxiety and deep depression. There were days I could barely get out of bed, let alone show up for my life.
I felt completely overwhelmed.
I was doing everything I thought I was supposed to do, yet nothing was getting better — and I had no idea how to change it.
I tried everything that was recommended to me.
Diet after diet. Supplements. Gut protocols. Alternative therapies, including Chinese medicine. Each new approach came with hope… and each time, that hope faded when my symptoms returned.
Eventually, I started to wonder if maybe the problem was me.
Maybe my body was just broken.
Maybe this was something I’d have to manage forever.
That was the moment I decided something had to change — not because I had answers, but because I couldn’t keep living that way.
I took matters into my own hands and dove deeply into the world of functional nutrition and root-cause healing. I learned how to look at the body as a whole system, how stress, minerals, digestion, and the nervous system are deeply connected — and how data could tell a story my symptoms alone never could.
